Hello —
Haley Hamilton is an AAN award-winning journalist and widely published creative nonfiction writer. Her essays and columns can be found in Eater, MEL Magazine, Bustle, Slate, Catapult Magazine, and elsewhere. She’s published longform creative nonfiction, op-eds, and interviews with other writers in The Rumpus, Greatist, and Truly*Adventurous.
Haley has also told stories live on stage with Boston's LitCrawl, The Moth StorySLAM, and World Channel's Stories From the Stage. Originally from Reno, Nevada, Haley is a 2025 MFA candidate in fiction at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, and very close to listening to the people who tell her to try stand-up.
She’s at work on a Kitchen Confidential-style memoir-in-essays about the world of high volume craft cocktail bartending — and a collection of short stories centered on women + anger.
They just…pair so well together.
